Switching Domain

Hey;

I’m switching the domain over to another host. Actually, I’m switching the website to another host as well. So bear with me, I hope to have everything fixed within the next month. WordPress isn’t as effective as I would have liked.

Halifax School Board Bus Strike: “If they’re not able to get there, that will be dealt with after the exam period.”

Stock Transportation, the company which provides the Halifax Regional School Board’s students with transportation to schools plan to go on strike at 12:01AM on January 27th, the second day into high school exams.

The school board has said, ‘”If students are able to get there on their own, they will do so and write their exams,” he said. “If they’re not able to get there, that will be dealt with after the exam period”.

So what it sounds like is that after exams, and when buses return to providing service for HRM students, then it will be investigated on a case-by-case basis whether or not students were able to attend their exams, or if they were merely looking for extra time to study, and found the bus strike to be a convenient excuse.

Peace in Gaza? Hamas must resign

1. Hamas breaks a cease-fire agreement, and begins, once again, firing rockets into Israel.
2. Israel gets pissed off again.
3. Israel starts sending a crap ton of bombs into Palestine.
4. Hamas acts innocent asking, “Why would Israel do this?!”

Hamas is not a government party like the NDP, it is a terrorist group. Anyone who gives legitamacy to a party who calls for the destruction of a country in their charter is a little wacko. Hamas attacked Israel, and now is crying over the outcome.

Now, even Egypt, is calling out Hamas for its war-mongering actions against Israel.

Being pro-Palestine is not the same as being pro-Hamas.

JOUDRY, Marlene Muriel Gloria

Passed away peacefully in Sussex Health Center on December 27, 2008, surrounded by her family. Born January 16, 1941, in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late John and Muriel (Griffith) Rogers, and wife to the late Joseph L. Joudry. Marlene is survived by her children, Debora (Charles) Kennedy of Charlottetown, P.E.I.; Pamela (Darrell) Urquhart of Kars, N.B.; Robert (Carol) Joudry of Halifax; grandchildren, Daniel and Donald Kennedy, Andrew (Pam) Urquhart, Carrie (Calvin) Munro, Sean, Catherine and Evan Joudry; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Lucy Langille of Tatamagouche; Carole (Roy) VanWart of Kars, N.B.; Roy Rogers of Saint John, N.B.; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; sisters, Edith Sutherland and Mary Thistle; as well as brothers, Eric, George, Harry, John, James, Maxwell and Patrick Rogers.There will be no visitation or service at this time. Interment is to take place in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery at a later date in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. As an ode to Christmas..

I must say, I don’t like the ‘hippies’, but what I hate more is the ‘hippy Christians’. By that I mean the Christians who try to do hip things. I have nothing against the church, but for god’s sake, just stick with the gospel music– please.

The Road: A (Personally Made) Trailer

I finished reading Cormac McCarthy’s The Road recently. I must say, it was a brilliant book. Anyways, I made a trailer for it using Fallout 3, which I found had a distinct connection to the world created by McCarthy. I would have made the trailer longer, but there were guidelines which I was obliged to follow.

The Liberals are sneaky

Despite having craptastic election results back in October, the Liberals, in co-operation with the NDP and the separtists, The Bloc Quebecois, will form a coalition to lead Canada in this time of economic uncertainty, which requires firm, steady leadership.

–And who best to lead Canada at this time? Why, Stephan Dion of course, everyone’s favorite puny, non-English speaking Quebec native.

I wouldn’t care if it was the ‘Batman Party of Canada’ doing this, it is completely un-democratic to put a government which was no elected at the head of the country of Canada. I hope that the people of Canada stand up; not necessarily for the present government of Canada but for democracy. I must say, it reminded me of this scene from Star Wars.

The Pomegranate Phone- An iPhone killer or Vapourware?

I just found the Pomegranate Phone on Kevin Rose’s Twitter feed.

I must say, this is an amazing looking phone, alas, this is obviously some sort of joke. At first I thought it might be real, but when I started checking out the features, like the fact it makes coffee, I knew it was a fake.

Oh well.. Its still fun to dream.

EDIT: Whoa, I just realized that this is some sort of advertisement for Nova Scotia. Thats pretty cool that the government went to the effort to make such an elaborate site.
